Story behind the Passage
First, you discover that happiness is the thing you experience every day while you keep looking for it. Then you discover that everything you do to make you happy depends on the stories you tell yourself about yourself. As soon as you have gone through all these phases, you go back to who you were before, the person that was happy without thinking about it. But “going back” is not exactly right, of course. You have changed in the meantime but there are certain roots that never change. And this is good, actually. As soon as you start seeing how exactly these roots make you happy, you are ready to embrace them.
My Learnings
Waiting for long,
not ready to lead.
People too harsh,
Emotions too strong.
Doing so many things,
Taking more time.
Creating more value,
But not feeling whole.
Seeing how not to be,
Feeling disappointed.
So much boiling inside,
No way to channel.
More skills forming,
Knowledge falling into place.
Growing every day,
Ego getting smaller.
Learning to laugh again,
Getting kind feedback.
Ignoring conventions,
Drawing from inner strength.
More people coming,
More people learning.
More to do every day,
Less worrying.
Then comes the day,
When awakening unfolds.
There is more inside,
There is more to do.
There is enough strength again,
To just do it now.
No more talking,
Knowing the rules.
Success comes by doing,
A simple rule.
Why not before,
I am asking.
But I know why.
It takes time to get there.
It takes time to grow.
Healing is a process.
Leadership is a gift.
The past does not matter,
The future is now.
Where there was ambition,
Now there is joy.
Not just watching anymore.
Not just helping.
Feeling the light inside,
Seeing the fun again.
It feels like such a treasure
To be back again.
The funny and curious,
The loud and impossible.
Different but back,
Grown but humble.
Feeling ready — at last.
